The Female Condom gives woman the power.

In 1977, the first female condom has made into the market. The female condoms are produced by the Chicago-based Female Health Company.

It's pretty difficult to buy from the drugstore, supermarket and is expensive, but it's the first condom which provides the woman the power rather than the man, and that's as good a reason as any to give it a moralistic thumbs up. As with any medical device the female condom is most appropriately used under the supervision of a doctor and should be used in conjunction with both STD and pregnancy counseling. Since the only woman-controlled barrier method, female condoms are a great way for STI/HIV and pregnancy prevention. With perfect use, female condoms are 95 percent effective; with typical use (which includes incorrect and/or inconsistent use), they are about 80 percent effective.

Now you can purchase female condom from the health clinics, pharmacies, convenience stores, and other places where male condoms are sold. Also condom online store is available. Female condoms cost around $2 – $4 per pc.

The female condom is a pouch with a flexible ring at each end. The female condom is inserted into the vagina and the inner ring fits snuggly around the cervix to stay in place. The external ring remains outside the vagina. Female and male condoms should not be used together, and each female condom should only be used once.
