Can personal lube damage condoms?

Usually, people like to use condoms with personal lubricants. The followings are the what happens when adding baby oil to a latex condom, take a look:

It only took about sixty seconds with gentle friction for the condoms to eat through the latex condom. The research has found that the closer the condom is to its expiration date, the quicker that time is.

The majority of lubricants out there aren’t going to have oil in them anyway, so it’s not something you have to be scared of while buying the lubricants section. They have other ingredients which mimic certain qualities of oil, but they will be safe to use with condoms. If not, the label on the lube package will indicate Not recommended for use with latex condoms!

Polyisoprene Condoms

Polyisoprene is a new material and very similar to latex. While it may not give those with latex allergic reactions, it still reacts to lubes the same way as latex condoms. Which means that you can’t use oil lube on polyisoprene condoms without risking breakage.

Other Latex free Condoms

Nitrile condoms , lambskin condoms and polyurethane condoms can be used with any types of lube. That doesn’t mean that your body will react favorably–But it does mean that your condom won’t degrade or break.

Silicone lubricants will not harm any condoms.

Silicone is not an oil. Which means that it will not have any reaction with any condoms currently on the market, including latex and polyisoprene. In fact, some people find it to be far more comfortable and unobtrusive than many water-based lubes. It’s hypoallergenic, it usually has very few ingredients, and it lasts for forever.

If silicone lube break down condoms, many of our favorite condoms would be in danger. All of those condoms come with a silicone-based lube!
